Well as most of you know my surgery is this thursday. I just found out I will be in the hospital 11 days--4 days in the regular hospital and then a week in a rehab hospital. ack...11 days with no internet??? oh well keep good thoughts for me, while they give me a new knee and teach me how to use it, all while dealing with horrific pain (or so they keep warning me) they want me to be prepared so I can get a "mindset" and they want me to know ahead of time because they will still be expecting me to "work it" even with the pain, I have been told when I wake up in recovery my leg will already be in a "bending machine" called a rocker Oh well, I am determined to make this new knee as strong as I can so I can start walking and exercising and lose some weight, and then get the other one done.

Hey there! I'm sure you'll be fine, It does sound very painful though!
Maybe someone could bring you in some art bits do you could at least be creative and take your mind off the knee???????
I'm also sure when you get back home, you will find loads of messages from everyone letting you know what's ben happening in cyberspace!

It must be a daunting thought to have an upcoming suregery-
Good luck for this-
and know that no matter how painful it may be at first,
in the end it should be worth it.
You will have a new part to work with,
one that won't hold you back, the way this one might be, before surgery!

I've talked to 2 people that have had that done and they love there new knees! So just keep telling youself that it's going to get better each day. You'll be in my thoughts Thursday.
